Default You guys are not going to believe this...

I was going to wait for it to be aired on the next 3S PowerHour episode but that episode is going to take longer than I thought to air so here's a fun little bit about the VR4 we are working.

My buddy Frank has had his 1995 VR4 for about 4 years now. We took it to the track last year and for some reason he could not break out of the mid 14's. I thought it was just his driving. But I also knew his car had a few issues. He was blowing smoke on decel and there was oil in his intake pipes so I knew his turbo's were on the way out.

So he orders up some 13g's and we go ahead and start the project. Get this. The rear turbo was completely seized!!! He never noticed a lack in power since he owned the car which leads me to believe that the rear turbo was frozen when he bought it!!! I was shocked. I have seen a frozen turbo once before in my life and it was on a 200K mile eclipse. Anywho, thought I would share. You will get to see it on the next 3S PowerHour episode anyway..

That's impressive... running mid 14's with one working turbo.

yeah that happened to me one time with my tdo4 setup. The little metal o-ring between the manifold and the turbine housing collapsed on it self and fell down into the turbine jamming it tight.
