 That picture really puts things into perspective and shows me why the dent I just discovered in my pan (no idea how it got there or how long its been there) hasn't caused my engine to spin a bearing. It's located towards the rear of the engine and is less that a quarter inch in depth. Regardless, I've got a dent-free pan waiting to go on.
