Thanks for the response. It seems you are turning some pretty good numbers with your setup.
Have you ever used isopropyl alcohol as a mix instead of methanol?
I really like the idea of installing before the turbo.. so I dont have to fight against pressure and have 1 more possible leak. If it damages my turbo(s) after 20K miles... I dont care... I can buy another for $150. But who knows, I may just run a better fuel... I really want to try to tap out these turbos to see what they can hold to redline... but I am starting to get some decent knock at around 16.5psi... so am now looking at some alternatives.

I am currently running 1 bar with no sign of knock at all. I used to see knock creeping in at around 10 PSI.

If your running different boost setting than i am, you will have to play a little and see which size jets will suit your cars setup.

You will also have to play with different water/Methanol mixes.

I started off with a 50% Methanol/water mix but still saw knock. I dropped the Methanol down to 35% and saw no knock. I have been told that burning methanol produces more heat than burning petrol.

My system is triggered by a pressure switch which is connected to the inlet plenum and activates at 9 PSI.

Have a look at www.aquamist.co.uk

Hi Rob,

I have never tried isopropyl.

Most of the GTOUK members just miss out the Alchohol injection and go for propane.....

I am currently the only member that is running a twin jet system.

We live in the dark ages here in the UK.

Here is another helpful link, on a dsm too. I still like the idea of using the fuel pump relay as a source of power for the water pump. Using the windshield wiper resevior is used in this link as well... which is what I would like to do... Low level warning!

for those building your own kit, especially using the turbomirage site, you can buy the water pump at northerntools of course, and the solenoid and sprayers at mcmaster-carr, and then everything else can be basically be had at NAPA except a couple of fittings which you can get in the plumbing section at home depot, and you might have to buy the relay at radioshack, i bought a relay at NAPA and i'm not too sure about it so i'm going to radio shack in a few and see if that one is better.

I did some research on this topic a year ago when I was going to build my own system before I bought a propane system. I bought the propane system because it was such a good deal I couldn't resist.

Here are two of the most helpful links that I found:

Is your fuel pump hotwired? If so, why not just use the fuel pump relay as a power source.... if you do it like i drew up in the above post... it will never run until the pressure switch hits the psi its dialed into. And even then... it should rob too much juice to not activate the relay in back for the hotwired pump.

Cool Re: Whos running water/alcohol injection with good results>>>

With 9Bs, I was using a .9mm jet with the Aquamist system. With my newly installed S-15Gs, I'll be going to a twin jet system running a total of about 1.4mm. I'll have to play with it to determine what works best w/o bogging.

Aquamist specifically says don't run isopropyl alcohol in their system.

well, right now, i'm still confused on my relay set up, i have the relay from radio shack, and now i have the switch powered to the relay and grounded by itself, i have the waterpump and solenoid powered to the relay and grounded each by itself, and then there is the connection to the battery, now does the last connection (pin 86 i believe) need to be grounded or hooked to a 12v ignition source?

Forgive my retardedness but which point of the relay are you tapping into in this picture? ; or am I looking at the completely wrong part of the fuel pump hotwire

No sorry about that I was talking about the OEM fuel pump relay... the one up front... by the resistor.... not the new one in the back. The whole point it to use the Old Fuel pump power source for the newly founded water pump. No need for another relay... just tap in a wire.
