Default Unmarked warning light?

I got this question on another forum and I am completely stumped.

"I don't know exactly what this warning light means, but i believe its the radiator warning light. I have search the net for help, but everything i find has this single light omitted.

Any help will be appreciated as I'm not 100% sure what it is. Its located in the center cluster of lights, down in the last row and to the right."

BTW it is a GTO MR.

My JDM GTO also displays this light. If it is the catalytic converter is it a serious problem that the light is displayed? Is it really something that i should be worried about, or is just telling me that there just are more emissions coming out of my GTO's exhaust?

main Cat overtemp warning light. means there is something wrong causing the main cat to overheat and possibly damage it. Most likely running too rich/missfires, excessive retarded timing, or excessive exhaust restriction.

[edit]: I'm an idiot. Other thread said that, too.

But the weird thing is that it appears as soon as the car starts, so it shouldn't be overheating. So does that mean its damaged? Or is the sensor just damaged?

it turns off after you atart the car? how long after? if its just a few seconds its just the ecu running a test on the sensor and nothing to worry about. but if it turns on and stays on the sensor is bad, or the cat is so bad that the sensor cant read and right away it sees a bad cat
