Default turbo timer

I just bought a 92 vr4 and it was working just fine until recently.
- I replaced the battery on it, and the terminals

The car kept on work just fine. Then that same day I noticed that when I shifted from 1st to 2nd, the car wanted to turn off and the engine light came on but continued running when went to 3rd.

Now I try driving it and when I hit the clutch to shift the rpm stays the same, and my radio, turbo timer, and boost controller turn off and then turn on. When I turn off the car every turns off.(normally the car stays on because of the turbo timer)

If someone could enlighten me with some tips or solutions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
