I just came across a good deal and will be picking up some
PT680 injectors
SAFC
MAF translator
Dejon smic kit blowthrough with gm 3.5
fpr,filter,pressure gauge,lines
and 3sx td05 set up
realistically i want to have a fast but reliable daily driver.. solid 12s would probably be my goal..
is this setup overkill for what im looking to do? also as far as bolting this all on a stock 91 cam/internals but otherwise healthy motor and say 15psi gonna get me close to what i want without extremely risking walking it or blowing a rod/bearing..
ive never really tuned a car with safc so off course id have someone walk me through it to the point i could be self sufficient.. lmk what you guys think
Man TDO5 is what's happen. Don't let them fool you. I've being running my 3sx Turbo set up for 3 yrs now. But really it's all about you intents for YOUR car. So like don't mind lag & some hate it but the one thing I learn about modding is that it comes down to you driving style. I'm a highway guy so TDO5 with some lag isn't a problem but once those suckers kicks in, awwwww hell the way I go. However, rather it's DR or 3SX setup you can't go wrong. Happy Holiday and Happy Modding.

15g's and just the SAFC will easily get you there also. But no matter what setup you get a couple weeks down the road and it won't be fast anymore and you'll want more.

^^ +1
The car's bottem ends are pretty stout, you will definitely be safe with it only at 15 psi, with that set up, why not dial it in for 20 psi and spray meth, with a better clutch, you would be set for mid to low 11's flirting with 10's at full weight AND have a reliable car assuming maintenance has been kept up. NOT to mention that on a DD basis, the lag with help with mpg's and give your car that little extra "off" mode when your not wanting to accelerate to 45 mph at lightspeed in the city and get all the attention of the 5-0 yo. As always though, if any of us witness such an event, we all know its was all CGI in a fictitional setting that may or may not look familiar and that no animals harmed in the making of this event

Reason: typo
These cars are so easy to run lo12's and high 11's in it's almost crazy.
I have run 11's with just these mods at 15psi
RPS FW and MAX 6 puck clutch
DR16T turbos
Denso FP
Down pipe/exhaust
UR UD pulley
boost control.
Stock injectors, stock intercoolers, stock motor, on 4 dry rotted all season tires
But Frankly if you have a stock car and want to run "solid 12's" or high 11's what I would do Now is.
Billet DR650's, with billet actuators set to 15psi.
Down pipe
Fuel pump
Clutch
That would be a SIMPLE way into the lo 12's even high 11's. And then at some point if you want more simply bolt on Injectors, fuel control, and boost controller and have a lo 11 to high 10 second car.
seems simple to me, but some people dont want simple and proven thy want a big hassle, pain in the butt, and a car that ever runs again. So thy make things so complected that thy never reach there performance goal.

#1 use the Right combo of parts
#2 Throw so much money at it that the car has no choice but to be fast.
