Default Strange Overboost after BC install

Right after i installed a MBC, turned the dial all the way out, the car is boosting to 16-17lbs... so i took out the ball and spring completely, should make it run at waste gate?? well still same problem, checked all the vacuum lines, leading to the 'h' connector, and to waste gates, blew threw them all clear, boost leak check turned up no leaks.. double checked the vacuum lines are connected to the MBC correct, every site i went to showed the same set up as mine.. so any thoughts guys? Its a turbo XS MBC, not a cheap ebay one

It's still possible that the MBC has a leak. Have you tried removing the MBC completely to see if boost returns to wastegate boost?

Maybe I'm reading your post wrong, but when I hear removing the ball, or turning the dial all the way out, I'm thinking your bleeding off all the available pressure to the actuators, and they're never going to open...

How would that be possible with a ball and spring type MBC. Removing the ball and spring should cause him to run very near wastegate boost. The only difference would be a small bleed hole if equipped which won't account for much.

OP: You can also remove the MBC and hook it up to a compressor to check for leaks.
