Default SAFC II Tuning Help.

Hey guys,

Just got my AEM UEGO WB installed and started the car up. It starts from 14.8 and jumps all over until it finally maxes out at the lean side 19+ (---). Can someone please help explain how to tune this SAFC II to make the necessary corrections?

Stock 360 cc's.

I have a GM/MAF & MAFT 2.02 currently installed. I waited to get my WB to tune this correctly.

I read Stealth 316 but its a tad complex for me to comprehend at the moment...plus he's referring to 550cc.

etc. Menu
1. Sensor Type : Karman
2. Car Select: 6 cyl / Top-Right arrow

SettingMenu
1.) Hi-Thrtl : 800rpm 0%
2.) Lo-Thrtl : 800rpm +50%
3.) Th-Point: 25% / 50%
4.) Ne- Point : ne1 - 800rpm increases 600rpm all the way to point 12.
5.) Dec. -Air : Thrtl ** = 0%
ne1: 0
ne2: 0

In Monitor Mode (when revving):

KAR Increases
THR Increases
REV Increases
COR stays at 0%

NEW VIDEO.

With stock injectors you don't need any correction whatsoever on the SAFC.

It sounds to me like your AEM sensor or wiring is faulty ... it happened to me a couple times.

Hmm. How would I go about figuring if its the AEM wires? Pretty much just grounded the black wire and powered the red white to a dimmer...

Everything else is plug and play with the wideband.

Get a towel, put some alcohol or gas on it take the 02 sensor and wrap the towel around the sensor, of the sensor reads jumps around then again settle to ---- the o2 sensor is faulty

What are the fuel trims?

Are the settings you posted what is in your car? What's with the maxed out rich Lo?

Your wideband only reads oxygen... If you have misfires it will read the oxygen from unburned mixture as a lean condition.

I assume you have plans for bigger injectors and got the MAFT and SAFCII for future upgrades.... so.

1. What size injectors is the MAFT set for? Make sure it's 360's. (I think this is your main problem)
2. On the SAFCII set all low and high throttle points to zero.
Once you get it running normal you can use the SAFC to make small adjustments to fine tune the stock tune.

This should make the car work as if it neither were hooked up.

Yep I am planning on getting larger injectors.

Pretty sure my MAFT is correct as Ray double checked when we were troubleshooting another issue unrelated.

Mode 1 - 4 are set OFF

Aux is at 8

Base is at 2.

I will double check my safc settings and report back.

Thanks for helping!
