Question Rocker question

well managed to break a P.S. belt, which got in to my timing belt, caused atleast 7 bent valves just on the front head. pulled the valve cover and saw all the rockers laying all over the place. After looking at then for a few min and cussing i noticed that there were numbers on the rockers
(14/15/16/17). do these mean anything? should they all the the same or does it mater? i wonder bc i think this engine was parted togther before it became mine. i say this because i have 3 matching cam gears and one that looks like it was cut down to make it fit. any ideas?

I did not find any info in the manual that says that they are numbered for any particular reason. I am going to go look at my rockers to check and see if mine are numbered.

I have what might be a dumb question but I need to ask it anyway. Did you have the upper and lower cam and engine covers on your car?
