Updated my post. If you have everything hooked up right, in the right order, I'm baffled too. I would just say go back and make sure your Neo is configured to the correct type of vehicle.

yes i just checked and everything it right 2 grounds 2 powers one behind the other! car idles fine but when you drive it it pops like crazy...help!

I had problems few days ago:

just installed s-afc. HELP!!!!!

and it runs fine now. check it, maybe you're having same issue.

Was bored, had to do stuff: Cross drilled/slotted rotors, S-Tein springs, BOV, intake, exhaust, Datalogger, S-AFC, AEM TruBoost, 560cc, XTD Stage 3 clutch, hotwired 255lph fuel pump.
Working on: Driver mod.
E85 powered VR4

nah apparently my afc neo was bad, because i hooked a buddy of mines up using the same wires going to the ecu and the car ran fine

hey i am having the same issuse too and i did the exact same set-up i also heard that the is a defect in the AFC NEO unit itself. Please somebody orrect me but this is why i had to upgrade to the MAFT-GEN my car is currently at
3sx they are bypassing it and tuning themft gen but what should i do the NEO hs never been used i bought it fom IPS at christmas 07

do you have a sohc, if so, what wire did you hook to to get a rpm signal?
