Sorry for your troubles....

deffinatly not a mistake!!

i find it so much better. they will get the hang of it so i wouldnt worry. it takes time cuz hes going from a completly different system to this.

I think Mellon is probably a good example of a "norma;" user. Goal is to make MMCd as intuitive as possible and he has bumperd into a number of gotchas that I agree with but need to free up some memory to fix.

Anyone opposed to creating a single INJ sensor in the future with user controlled option to display as mS or %DC ??

Clint

PS: I may have come up with a 12 byte solution to this problem so selecting INJD automatically scans RPM and INJP independent of RPM/INJP sensor selection/display.

nope. free up the space. i check IDC every once in a while. you should really go by a/f ratio to determine if your injectors can handle what your throwing at them.

i know you guys want everyone to be able to use this, but maybe instead of completly getting rid of some "advanced/nice" features you could make them selectable in the preferences menu. i like being able to choose sensors on the fly. this may take up more space so i don't know if it is fesable.

I have zero use for IPW but use IDC regularly to get an idea of where I am in the factory timing map with a piggy back ECU. I really just want to click that and not have to worry about selecting RPM and IPW to get IDC to work if at all possible.

I'm glad I know how to do it now but that's just a band aid over a sucking chest wound to me. Not everyone started with MMCD so if it's as frustrating to use for them as it has been for me initially, I'm affraid they'll just go back to what they are familiar with.

Make it easy to migrate over. More MMCD users means more potential buyers for your addons.

No disagreement.. INJD has always been a bit odd because it was a calculation and not actually a sensor scan control. V1.7 is technically more accurate because it reflects whether INJD is avalable but the better solution is to have a single INJ sensor and a preference config for mS / %.

Clint

PS: Although I believe it is technically your intake that has the "sucking chest wound" with a 1" unmetered opening. I didn't even see a chuckle posted about my idea of using a 1" gate valve to fine tune your AF.

Pretty easy to tune too! Clockwise to lower AF - counter-clockwise to raise AF. (And it lowers intake flow restriction, something the piggybacks don't do.)

INJECTOR - GATE VALVE
. 450 cc - 4-5 TURNS CC (Counter Clockwise)
. 550 cc - 5-6 TURNS CC
. 720 cc - 8-9 TURNS CC

Surprised someone has not marketed this in the past.

Clint
did that work for you? I'm still having problems.

I set these to scan:
rpm
ipw
knock
02

I then set these to display in big numbers/graph
rpm
ipw
knock
02

everything works fine at this point I can see it scanning in the lower left and it displays those items in large numbers

now if I select IDC for scanning everything freezes except the lower left indicator that shows it cycling through the items but it slows from 3hz to 2hz and cycles through much much slower.

now if I select IDC to dispay on the big numbers all of the numbers at the top and graph/big numbers are blank out.

what am I doing wrong now?

skunkworks is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: MMCd New Features

try selecting the o2-f to graph

I was just playing around with what you set up and it would not scan unless I had the front o2 selected.

Odd
