so i bought a MBC off of ebay which the person in this thread did too
Correct Setup for Ebay MBC I installed it just like he did and now my car overboosts. is the inner part of the boost controller supposed to be open? this isnt your standerd ball and spring MBC theres a special T that came with the kit. please help me out

The only thing I can say is that you should go buy a brand name boost controller that you know will work. I have had nothing but problems with ebay boost controllers because of their design. Even though it came with that t fitting it should still be a ball-spring boost controller and since yours is completely open that is allowing the wastegate to open freely which could be causing your overboost problem.

ok i took the T apart and it appears to be a ball and sping built into the T. I have no idea how to get this crap to work
.also does it matter how long the vacuum lines are between the waste gates? right now one is longer than the other. Im going to buy so extra vac. line and run both of them the same. what about the other threads setup for the MBC. why is one side of the BC open? wouldnt that just cause a vac. leak ![]() |
