Max boost stock turbos with BONE STOCK fuel system?
I'm installing. dp, test pipe, and hollowing our my precats this week and have a spare mbc laying around. I'm wondering if I should play with the boost a little bit (if I even can) or just leave it stock.
The car is bone stock with an intake + y-pipe and boost gauge right now and it spikes about 11 or 12 and holds 9 lbs. It runs great, gets great gas mileage, and I would like to keep it that way for a while. I don't want to hotwire the fuel pump without a afpr and everything because I had bad luckon my other tt doing it without one or a safc.
Thanks!

For the most part, I think 14-15 lbs is safe. But it depends on the car. As your turning it up, just watch for knock, and as soon as you see knock, back the boost controller down to the point where there is no knock.
And if your seeing good milage now, then it has to do with driving habits, and as long as your not always in boost after turning it up, the milage should never change.

Get a logger at least before turning up the boost.
My only fuel mods are 450's, safc, hotwired Walbro, meth, and a wideband. I get mid to upper 20's mpg.
Couldn't safely get past 12 pound on my car with completely stock fuel system. Running Australian 98Ron fuel. K&N fipk everything else stock (except ECU).

Some cars det with boost as low as 12psi (incorrectly set base timing is common on the early cars as people like to fiddle). I'd leave it until you get a logger, then tweek it.

Sorry mate, I skipped past where you said you had a logger.
Personally, I'd set your base timing to 5-6ºbtdc, then wind up your boost gradually whilst watching your knocks.
