Exclamation Is This Lifter Ticking? (with Video)...

Hey guys,

Is this the lifter ticking? (its coming from the back of the engine).

- Oil pressure and temp is good
- No smoke

HOWEVER

- The car kind of chokes when accelerating (it hesitates), like it gives short bursts of power.

What else could it be if not the lifters or could the lifters be causing this? A spun bearing? (and the ticking is VERY loud)

Also, when you let off the gas the ticking becomes like a bouncing little ball (tick tick tick - "let off gas" - prrrrrr tick tick tick).

To me sounds like a rod slapping.

I do hear lifters but that loud noise there, to me sounds like something else.

That's rod knock for sure man. When mine spun a bearing, it held good oil pressure and didn't overheat either.

mines doing the same thing, and i also just bought mine. Ran good for the 5 mile test drive, then I heard all of that. Same noise, same thing with the prr effect.

Is there a good how to any where on how to replace a rod bearing? Is it true you can find which cylinder its on by pulling the spark plug cap?
