I've started a new thread re: my lean rear bank because I think it is a seperate issue from the lean misfires @ 2700 rpm.

Damn. Well at least I didn't run out and by a speed density system.

My money's on the ECU. I think I'm going to send mine to AV-Pro to have it refurbished to see if this is the cause.

What's AV-pro, shop or individual? Do you have the web address and approx. cost for service?

I believe cost is $250 and they guarantee it for life. If it doesn't work right the first time you can send it back and they'll fix it.

I think there are a few reviews of their work somewhere around here on 3si. I know for one user it didn't work, but it was attributed to some "bad code" on his board. Other reviews that I've seen have all been positive. There are pics on their website that shows what they do.

The web address is: http://www.avproecm.com/

funny thing is I already tried a known good ECU, but I also was using the LT1 mass.
I havent tried a known good ECU without the LT1 yet.

Tried a known good ECU yesterday and it didnt studder/backfire at all.
BUT the funny thing is that I did the swap in the afternoon and was driving all morning and the car was mostly well behaved with my ECU. I could get a slight studder/backfire if I tryed but it was slight. Today driving around with my ECU the stumbling was very strong.
So im not possitive but 99% sure my ecu is messed up, even though I changed caps a year ago and all was fine since then. I am pretty sure that somehow a malfuntioning LT1 mass burnt a hole in my ECU fuel map @ 2700rpm.

I`d be tempted to pull your ECU and check all the traces around/ under the caps for continuity (especially the trace under C104), mines running faultlessly now (finally!).

I just pulled the caps, gave the board a good cleaning with a fibre pencil and rubbing alcohol, checked all suspected tracks around the ecu and replaced the caps. I`m still running the stock mas though..

Caps cured all my crappy running problems.
