Yeah you're right.

what about your RPM wire that goes to your fuel controller?
are you using the Ing wire 101 white wire or...
CAS wire 69 blue w/ stripe?

For the MAFTranslator I'm not using the rpm wire. For the SAFC-2 I'm using 101.

Or maybe wire 68 (blue w/ red stripe), the tdc sensor (also built into the cas on 1st gens). I believe they both ultimately send out the same signal?

I tackled the issue of my TPS today.

Turns out there's nothing wrong with the TPS, as per manual. Whatever it is that supplies voltage to the TPS is bad. I measured the voltage that the TPS is seeing and all its receiving is 1.1 Volts. It should be seeing ~ 5 Volts. This is also explains why the MAP sensor wired into the EGRT input, which is using the TPS as a voltage source, doesn't work. I tried disconnecting the newly wired in MAP sensor and it had no effect.

bad ECU....?

BTW, I had a thought about the stumbling.... The plugs wires run right past the CAS........

Oh, and MSD wires suck..

I'm 99% sure my ECU is fried so I'm actively looking for another one. However, they seem to be harder to find than I thought. I thought the plug wires running past the CAS (when I was running Accel thundersport? wires), so I switched back to my NGK resistors and it didn't make a difference.

I'm curious as to your reasoning behind this statement. I'm not doubting you, I'd just like an explanation of why. I know they are really low resistance wires, I'm assuming that you are going to say that they put out a lot of EMI?
I had a set of magnecor's and swapped them out for msds awhile back. I havent noticed a difference between the two at all (I didnt expect any either). I dont have this hesitation problem that this thread is all about, btw, I'm just following along with the thread.

Bob
mine dont, I have the coils mounted on the tranny.
Bob, since my CAS is adjustable (and maxed out ) should I be able to get the same RPM signal that comes from the ignitor?
The car starts using the CAS signal but bounce revs and wont throttle up.
