Hi tech Crankshaft #BP6530 - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

Any one heard of these? Im trying to decide between this and the 3sx reman cranks, but this one is half the price, and there is no shipping since i can get it locally... $163 including cali state tax.

Details:
Forging #72, E1, P1, TDC Blueprint series, bearings are not included all units are radiused for strength, hand chamfered for increased oiling, indexed for straightness, also shot peened and stress relieved for durability.

So what do you guys recommend?

New OEM. If my crank was out of spec, it goes in the trash. Thats just my opinion though.I have seen and heard of so many issues with reman cranks, its just not worth the trouble.

OEM is the way to go. It's kind of like you get what you paid for.

is the cheapest place to get the oem crank from 3sx?

well heres the deal, this is actually for my 95 diamante it has a na 6g72, it has the stock crank that it first came with, its pushing 250k miles right now, but ive replaced the oil pump and bearings at 90 and 180k. Both times i used standard sized ACL bearings and the clearances were in spec. right now the car needs a new clutch and smoking a bit, which im pretty sure are from the vss, they haven't been replaced for almost 100k.. I wanted to do some preventive maintenance on the car, so was thinking of redoing the bearings... so the question is if everything is still within spec should i just leave this crank in? The car is always babied, never raced, but since its my dd i can't afford to have it down unless its for planned maintenance

This is an entire other situation. It would be hard for me to justify spending that kind of money on a new crank with a car with that sort of mileage. I would plastigauge and let it be if it is within spec. Any reason you have to belive it would not be, besides mileage?

based on the last two times, it was well within spec, don't remember the exact clearance tho.. As long as my oil pressure is good and my clearances are fine i shouldn't have to worry about spinning a bearing correct?

I guess my question is as long as things are within spec there is no 'safe' maximum mileage limit right?

As long as they are within spec, you should be fine. It really is going to come down to how the bearings look when you pull them, and how your crank measures up. If you are up to it, I would probably pull your oil pup and inspect its clearances as well.
