Just installed fron turbo with new feed and return lines ect. Car is incredibly quick now, even with 15 Gs from IPS. I am running wastegate right now, but I set by DSBC to 14 psi and it was incredible. Anyway, back to the oil pressure issue. I switched to 10W40 and did an oil and filter change. It did make a difference. However, I am going to do the sanwich plate and external oil pressure guage during my next oil change. I want to see how this runs for the next few weeks. I will let you know. thanks again.

just fyi, if the oil pressure goes down some with load, like when you floor it on the highway in 5th, and you can see the pressure gauge go down, you may have excessive bearing clearances...
Had that issue @ 130K. Replaced the bearings and it went away.

All seems well. I got both turbos replaced with some nice 15Gs frm IPS and new lines etc and she runs like a champ. I also fixed all my boost leaks and replaced all the gaskets in the intake upper and lower plenum and TB. Now she is running perfect with excellent Oil press that rises with RPM and runs and holds boost at 14psi to redline in all gears. now she is for sale....
Thanks for all the help guys. |
