I have a 92 TT with 79k miles that I got a couple months ago. Problems are: almost always starts on 2nd crank (almost never on 1st), almost no boost until 3000 rpm, then it won't rev much past 6k rpm.
I've found the major boost leaks, and made a big difference from before, but it still is far from right. Today I pulled out the ecm, and there are stickers saying it was rebuilt Aug 2000. The caps and board look good. Is it possible that it is still bad? I'd like a few suggestions on what I should specifically look for. Thanks. |

you mean the 2nd attempt at starting it? Its not suppose to start on the 1st or 2nd crank... if thats what you mean.
And Yes the ECU could still be bad. It you have a volt meter you can check the ECU. Stealth316.com
