college kids dont need to hang with new Z06 vettes. Ferraris barely hang with Z06 vettes. BPU it and invest 14k in something with a good interest rate for 5 years. When you're out of college and realize you can't live in a dorm anymore, you'll have 20k to put a down payment on something.

ps - I'm a sophmore right now, so this is not a concerned parent talking.

I have a ROTH account > NO DEBT what so ever including college, credit cards. I have a good amount saved up already.

I wanted to spend this money partly for fun!

I wouldn't waste my money building up the shortblock if you are sticking with TD04s and your engine isn't broken yet.

If you stay TD04 just pick up some 15Gs for $1500 or $1000 used.

If not get IPS's TD05 kit. The mega buck TD04s do not make much sense from a pump gas (especially 91 octane) perspective.

GO with a full td-05 kit w/ supporting mods and meth injection that would be pretty fun

I think I'm going go with these things:
13G turbos
550CC injectors
Hot wire Fuel Pump
Cxracing FMIC
IPS quad tip exhaust
Fidanza flywheel
Konig Hot swap rims
99 Front end Conversion
V2 Cianci victory hood
Koyo Rad with FAL Fans
Apexi turbo timer
Greddy Boost Controller

Fuel control? Timing control?
Bigger MAF?

I'd probably go with the ARC-2 and an Apexi ITC for keeping it simple.
Clutch?

For 13gs, you can get away w/ a stock clutch -- 15gs I'd go with a stockish disk (not 6 puck) and an upgraded PP of some kind.
