Gonna be making a Billet Intake Manifold - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

I originally posted to the other site and neglet everyone here so I'm posting it here as well.....

So since no one really makes a readily available intake manifold other than a modified version of our stock one we decided to see who would be interested in a Billet Intake Manifold. It was originally thought that we were gonna make it Driver side inlet but after looking it would be possible to modify the cooling system fill neck. It will drastically shorten the intake runners and clean up the engine bay. It will accomidate a 90mm throttle body. Its made of 2 pieces the lower part will bolt to the LIM and then the top to that with an oring gasket to seal.

The picture attached is our first attempt at the design it will take some time, fitting to get the final product but we will be moving forward with this.

got a flow simulation done on the manifold...slight modification to the top inside and is flow is smooth as silk

Awesome design! Of course it wouldn't work with my y-pipe but it would be awesome to be able to change spark plugs without removing the IM. lol

Man you are going to have to be SUPER careful putting the lower intake manfiold bolts in. Its like a perfect funnel into the engine.

nothing a few shop towels in the ports wont fix, same thing I do when changing plugs now.

just looking at the picture it looks like it's going to be rather tall, do you think the hood will need to be modified?

its actually only 5" tall...its made to fit under the stock hood
