Bill. Hey. I guess we'll see what it is. I'm past the shock phase and just working to get it back up to speed. I'm going to have it towed either Friday or early next week. I haven't started it since the video was taken to make sure nothing gets further damaged. I'm sure IPS will get it sorted out. I'm deliberately not starting it until Mike gets a listen. They were going to install the emanage system and re-tune it anyway. Hopefully its minor. It is a beautiful car and doesn't deserve to sit still.
WOW, This was my car. I heard from the girlfriend of a board member the car had a problem being posted. I totally feel horrible, but want you to know, and others on here will vouch, that the car did not disply these issues when I owned it. (I Only put 2000 soft miles on her, too). I recommended it going straight to IPS for a good tune, as I felt the ARC 2 was unpredictable.
I really disclosed all I knew about the car, and regret it going, even as it now sits. I had to focus on my business, and that was the only reason for the sale. Please keep me informed, I was serious about wanting to speak ongoing about mods, etc. as it was my dream car.
Thanks and sorry for your misfortune,
Bill
Oh man, this is your old car? That's one of my favorite Stealths. I'd be absolutely amazed if a Dynamic Racing block/heads failed because of the build/machine work. I also trust that the engine was assembled correctly, so I'm betting that something else failed, causing the engine to start knocking. I hope it's something minor as well.
kingpablo, I wish you the best of luck with getting this problem resolved. I'll keep checking up on this, keep us posted
-Aaron

Owner before me said it was built by Turbo Bob? Professional race car engine builder out your way, I thnk. Best of luck. Keep me posted via regular email. I am trying to stay off the board, since I spent a lot of time on it before, and it along with a bunch of other internet sites (non-porn) took away from my productivity with work.

Had it towed to IPS this morning. Mike didn't like the sound either. Smooth to 2500 then yuck. I'll know more later on when they dig around in it a bit. Pretty much looks like the engine is coming out for a rebuild. Hopefully I caught it very early so whatever is bouncing around didn't tear up much.
Hey. Here's the update. Engine is out and the diagnosis of spun bearing was correct. It was just starting to tear out. No real damage otherwise, but I might as well upgrade the bottom end while it's apart. I'm looking for a nice set of rods and pistons, and perhaps a crank. It has stock forged, but why not give it some love? I have Ross pistons in my blue TT. Anyone have Wiseco or CP Pistons? What about rods? Crower? I'll take all opinions!
