Default Electrical Issue

Hi folks!
I replaced the alternator in my VR-4. Now when I accelerate to 3K rev's all the lights in the panel start flashing/blinking. I also notice the vessel lights stay kind of "on (faded)" when the car is running????
I checked the grounds connection and they look fine.
Any idea how can I fix this???
Thanks,
Vick

Sounds like a bad voltage regulator, which is internal to the alternator.

Is it a new unit or a used one?

Was the car doing the same things with the old alternator?

No, everything was fine until it dies.

Huh.

What voltage are you seeing under normal operation?

Have you double checked all connections onto the new alternator, as well as fuses and the cable from the battery to the fuse box?

Hummm, I haven't look into that yet because I post to get an idea on what to do. I'll check this weekend and post back again next week.
Thanks for all your help on this matter.

Good luck Vick! I hope it's just a simple loose connection or something.
