I made both cables this weekend (serial-to-usb and usb-to-usb) and neither of them worked.

Is the DB9 connector in the picture using the standard numbering convention? Meaning, the DB9 connector in the picture is a view of the BACK of the connector?

I just found that diagram, I didn't create it.

Here's some more info on DB9 RS232 cables. I just remember pins 2 & 3 are generally send/receive or vise versa and based on that info you should be able to determine which view it is.

Cool, thanks. Looks like I have it all hooked up properly. Upon further inspection, it appears my serial-to-usb may work as the e-manage support software tells me that the computer is online, but all options are grayed out and I can't get the computer to correspond with it.

I had the same problem at first, make sure you have the right drivers installed for your adapter.. after going through a few of them with the radioshack adapter I had a while back, I got it to work marginally.. eventually bought a different adapter and everything went fine.

I'm unfamiliar with the "radioshack" adapter. Can you explain?

I think I misunderstood where your problems are coming from. I had issues connecting to the emanage via their cable to a laptop, and had to use an adapter to get it to work. I had the same symptoms as you described, emanage was online and apparently working, but all options were grayed out and I had no control over it.

Was. Just got back. Might be there later tonight as I'm charging a battery in there and need to grab it before the building closes.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to run through the whole thread, and was hoping one of the experts could help me out.

I just switched from 550cc injectors to 850's. ( they were supposed to be 720's, but when I had them cleaned and flow tested, they came out as 850's.)

Anyways, the car obviously idles / drives like crap with the old map. I tried pulling 30% from the entire map, and the car barely idled, I put the old map back on and it idled perfect, but just driving around the neighborhood the o2's were reading .94.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about retuning the car. ( My previous tune was pretty spot on, and I always hate changing this stuff ) I freak out until it's back to perfect.

I'm trying to track down a pressure sensor / harness. I had one, but it never worked, and not sure if I can find the harness anymore. Probably lost somewhere in my garage / boxes / thrown out. I'd like to use this to tune.

In the mean time, should I go to the settings, and reset the global for

Original Injector Size: 360
New Injector Size: 720

And just start all over with a 0'ed out map?

If I change the global settings, and then load the old map, will it be entirely different because it is on a different global settings? Or do the global settings import with the saved maps? If possible I wouldn't mind salvaging everything but the WOT tune, which in my head seems to work out. All I did was change injectors size, I should be able to just cut back the amount of fuel I increased ( with the injector upgrade), and be back to normal save the WOT area.

As I've familiarized with other tuning programs and software, I've learned shady and jenk this e-manage is, but it is what I have to deal with, and just want to get it back on track.

Also, can the e-manage subtract fuel? I can't remember right now. So if a cell has -10, will it pull 10, or do you have to reset the global settings off so that you are only adding fuel?
