I would imagine the module would have two crystals. One stock crystal, and one crystal at a higher frequency. Only one of these crystals would run the ECU. The vtec signal from the emanage would select which crystal to use.

sorry for the short hijack, but i'm searching for a first gen pin diagram and got this thread. is there a list just like this one for the '91-'93 ecu? it would be exactly what i'm looking for. i saw the diagram on the first page, but i'm looking for something that lists all pins. thanks.

I jumped on the emanage bandwagon, and I LOVE IT. i installed the emanage completely using this thread, which was great because the manual was in japaneese!

I have e-manage in my 95 vr4 and it works great even on basal, non-tunes settings. Car idles and drives just fine. I think it run rich but i just need to have it tuned.
