Default crank pulley / harmonic balancer install method w/o mitsu tool (pic)

Here is how I was able to easily remove and tighten my crank pulley (aka harmonic balancer).

Get some 7/16" bolts, i got fine thread b/c is seemed like it would be less damagaing to the holes in the crank pulley. Of course an even better solution would be cylindrical pins that were a close fit in the holes (I measured the holes at .44")

I believe the tool you see in this picture was $30, but i'm sure you could find it cheaper, or make your own.

This method worked great for me! I got my torque wrench to click that bolt at 135 ft-lb no problem.
