comp turbo? anyone heard anything

i'm also looking in to their 6262 turbos. i am still deciding on brand. i found some issue people had with comp but they took care of it. it seems they had quality problems when they started with having too much lag and no power, but now it seems they make very high quality products. i know they'll make you a fully custom turbo too for your needs if you give them a call. i'm thinking to do that and see what they recommend and then buy them through a dealer here.i found problems with pt turbos too, but with much less happy customers than comp turbos.
look at this beauty 6262 turbo i found on one of the forums. billet back cover and center if you order oil cooled only and it's sexy as hell. the guy has this on a 1.7L audi with .82 a/r and he sees full boost at 4800 rpm. i was debating if i should go with .63 for turbo lag, but it seems like .82 is not all that bad either. on my stroker and e85 i should see full boost by same rpm if not lower. that plus their tial v band housing=sexiest turbo out there. now i'm not sure if i want to put turbo blanket on. don't want to over all those beauties lol.

i just go some number from comp turbo customer service

ct2 4947 - 47lb/min
ct2 5147 - 53 lb/min

so...which one is best for me?
consider t3 /5bolt with 0.48 ar

4947 is on par with the GTX2867's on paper flow wise(compressor) The 63 is a 44lb/min turbo.

What size wheels do they use in the 49/47?

SMALL side from compressor wheel is 49mm, SMALL side turbinewheel is 47mm... (ct2 4947)
garrett gtx28 turbinewheel is 53,90mm (big side) and compressor depends on model
i do not have more info.

eh so looks 4947 would be my match.

how much hp you can approx run on pum gas with gtx2863r ? no ethanol or meth , just pump gas premium

Sounds like a match to the GTX2863 turbo, which also has a 47mm inducer on the compressor.

Should be a great turbo since they probably arent still using 25 year old turbine wheel designs..lol

so this ct2 4947 is just a little bit bigger then GTX2863r (inducer on ct2 compressor is 49mm). but might say similary , turbin little bit bigger i guess

Sorry, meant to say the GTX67, at 49.7mm.

Which is 1k hp worth of under rated turbo from Garrett. Be interesting to know how well the CT turbine wheel flows compared to the T28 since the 2867 is near the edge of being a poorly balanced turbo in terms of exhaust flow vs compressor flow and thats with a bigger wheel than the CT turbo. Thats actually why the GTX3067 just came out imo since the GT30 turbine wheel is a far better match to a 500hp compressor.

justin from turbo comp said that turbo 4949 should be the best. They do not have it listed but this wheel dimension will work very well. i will ask him for big dimension of wheels (ex ,ind)

JasonY - making little bigger exhaust wheel 49mm will make it better regargding this exhaust / compressor flow? i am totally not a turbo specialist..
just thinking.
