yea from a 93 the sensor looked a little different where it bolts to the crank

Do you have any reason to belive they are the same. I dont know either way. Nice that you ordered a new one because I am pretty sure you need it. Is the new one for a 2nd Gen ?

yea the one i ordered is for a 2nd gen......the only reason i beleive they are different is the sensor where it bolts by the crank looked different but the part that clipped is the same

Hope thats the problem. And make sure you install it correctly I guess its easy to put in wrong. I personaly havent changed one, got a 91
