after having some timing belt issues and compression issues, got the heads rebuilt rechecked the compression, it was about 135- 140PSI enough to at least start the car
after throwing everything back together, i had the PTU and coil pack replaced
The car still wouldnt start, Check the timing again, still lined up, checked spark, checked fuel pressure, checked compression and everything was good, car still wouldnt start
swapped out again the PTU and coil pack and the ETAC module, still wouldnt start check all fuses all wires everything, the only thing not checked was the cam and crank sensor could that be an issue to why its not starting
Sorry if I'm wrong about this but I thought timing could not be 180 degrees out on any model above 92. I don't know from experience since I own a 92, but, the only thing I can think of is if the plate is installed behind the crankshaft sprocket and the connections are made to your cam and crank sensors.

You could be right about that. Curious thing is he has spark, fuel and compression thats why think he is sparking on a stroke other than the compression stroke. Time for me to check the manual. O and dont replace more stuff till you know whats wrong. Dont throw money away.
Having fuel pressure doesn't mean it's getting fuel. Are the injectors cycling? Is it a turbo? Are the injector resistors plugged in?
If you had spark, fuel, and compression, it would start. If you have spark and compression, then your problem is fuel.
And our plugs fire on both compression and exhaust stroke. Can't be 180 off.
Agreed on checking the injectors I over looked where he said pressure not pulse. Forgot about the wasted spark system. Still need to check timing with a light .
well i checked the fuel rail and there is definetly pressure as it bursted in my face lol.....we cranked it with the sparkplugs out and there was fuel and air coming right out so i think the injectors are working
i ran an OBD scanner and came back with a crankshaft sensor malfunction
