Default car wont start (often) then wont stay idling

GUYS IN 300zxcub have not helped lets see if you can

ECU CODE:55 (no problem)
1991 TT 300ZX
I bought this car yesterday and it was not running. The past owner told me that the car was running when he got deployed for 18 months. When he returned to the US and went to pick the car from storage it started but ran poorly. he ran diagnostic on the car and got code 45 (stuck injector). He then changed out the injectors. After that he was unable to get the car started. I bought the car and tried to get it started it wouldn't start so I ran down the manuals trouble shooting. 1 checked the injectors, spark, fuel preasure. I found that there was no fuel being fed the the car by the fuel pump. so i removed the fuel pump, inspected it pluged it in well out of the tank and put the key in the on position. The pump started up (I assumed a poor conection). I droped the pump back in the tank and the car started right up. I drove the car around for a few minuets and it died, it started right back up, so i drove around some more and then about 5 minuets later the car died again. This time i was unable to get it started again. NOTE: gas is 18 months old.

I drained & replaced the gas. I also replaced the fuel filter. I ran back threw all of the checks the car is getting gas and spark. It took alot of turning over but I got the car to start It required that I pump the gas alot and the car didnt fire right up it was a very week start up. The car Idled fine at 1100-1500 RPMS until it reached temprature then the rpms slowly dropped and the car died. When I restarted the car it was the same. it required pumping and was very weak but then faded unless I had slight preasure on the throttle. The car also died when i turned the AC on (if i didnot give it throttle. I have some ideas vut i would like to hear yours

Bad fuel pump. I've seen cars do similar things. Running fine, dies. Won't start, try a bunch of things to see what it was, bam starts right up. No real indication of what changed. Week later dies again. Play around with things, find no fuel pressure, replace pump, running fine ever since. Try and get a FP gauge in there if you can.

I've never heard of what I'm about to suggest but I suppose its possible: could the fuel pump just be "on it way" out. Another words it'll work for a little then get to hot and die.
Also, are you sure fuel is getting past the injectors. You might be getting fuel up to the fuel rail but is it actually getting into the cylinders as your cranking? I had a DSM to this and the CAS was bad so it wouldn't allow the injectors to fire.

there is gas being fed now and good fuel pressure ~40psi. There is spark. The car will run after it gets started but will not idle. today I swapped out the ECU, CAS, tested the TPS, changed the plugs (they where covered in fuel), I checked for spark before i reinstalld the plugs and the spark was good. so I have SPARK AND FUEL the car will run be will not idle and barley ever starts.
