I spun a bearing on my 1991 Dodge Stealth Twin and I've been looking to buy an engine for quite some time. I don't know whether to buy a used one with "around" 40,000 miles from Japan or a rebuilt one. If I buy a rebuilt one (just the block, heads, crank, and pistons)...how difficult is it to reassemble the parts onto it form my old engine? THANX!!
Well if you are able to install a used engine, which I would not trust, than you should be able to put together a rebuilt one. It really isn't that hard. Just make sure you do everything right. Make sure you have all the tools needed, as well as new gaskets.
I personally would go with the rebuilt motor over the used motor.
