So I payed 115 for my hks generic ssqv bov from 3sx. Well at first I was thinking its a good deal and that 3sx wouldn't sell an item that doesn't really work great. Right? Wel l I'm ready up and people are buying the ssqv bovs on ebay for like 30 or 40 bucks. And I know for sure those are the ebay knock offs.
Well guys. Do u think I made a horrible decision getting the ssqv from 3sx? Or once I get it in the mail should I return it. And of course I want to save money cuz I just did a fresh rebuild on my 92 rt tt and just spend 400 for my electronic boost controller. So I figured id spend a little less on my bov. What do u think. Did I make a mistake
And yes my plan is to run i t loop style and reserculate. I've heard it helps with performance and also if u don't that u run rich cuz ur maf reading id u don't recerculate. True?
lol... Starting a thread here probably wont help your cause. Buying something then wanting to send it back as you found it cheaper elsewhere is pretty much on you. Maybe next time you'll do some or more research.
And that BOV whether it's a knock off or the real thing is rubbish.
Its not that I wanna return it and get the the cheaper one. Its that I was thinking of returning it and maybe putting a lil more money into it for a better one. But my ? Is would 3sx sell a crappy bov and jip me off?? Lol and I couldn't figure out where to put this as a threat since I'm also going for performance.
there are used genuine HKS ssqv's for sale in the classifieds for around $110.00. I'd go with one of them.
3sx is in business to make money. The people are ebay ship practically straight from their factories in china and hong kong. They are always going to be cheaper.
I can get a ssqv from my suppliers in china for $21
Yea true. Ill prolly just return it then. I don't want a crappy knock off that's just ganna blow up and send parts through my engine. Id be better off spening an extra 50 for a real bov. What cheap but geat real bov that I can get online and where?
I just sold a genuine HKS SSQV locally for $100 so the deals are out there. I'd stay away from the knock-offs. If you're not set on the SSQV I have an HKS Type-RS BOV with recirculating adapter although I'm not selling it as cheap as the SSQV considering that was to help out a friend get his car running along with some other parts.
