HI, just wondering if you guys have any recommendations on an electronic boost controller that doesnt have boost spikes and is user friendly (just put in amount of boost you want)? Does any other ebc display the boost guage in psi beside the greddy profec b spec 2? How about the blitz dsbc? Thanks for the help all.

Blitz DSBC is probably the best at handling boost spikes... but you must set the gain/ratio... you can't just put in a boost value.
I'm not sure about the newer ones though... the Blitz -ID versions or the newer Greddy profecs might have modules smart enough to handle it. But regardless, It's not too hard to set the boost manually. So I wouldn't be too concerned with it. Is this for a friend? or are you trying to buy TT parts for your car for a conversion?

The only unit I know of that displays PSI is the spec2, but I have not had much experience with any others.
Other than that, Its not so much a boost controller as a standalone unit, but the boost control feature of the Maftpro is very nice. Displays/logs PSI and allows you to simply enter desired PSI. If I had to go back to a standalone unit, I would either get the profec B spec2, or the DSBC.

I have the SBC-id III and it can show it in psi, as well as a few different other values. Like the DSBC though, you have to set your boost with the set/gain, you can't just dial in "15psi" and leave it....that's my only complaint about the -id. The psi is different for each gear...I'll get one or two less psi in first and second than I will in 3rd and up since it's a ratio, but oh well. It's extremely easy to change though, and has 4 different channels you can use, that way you don't have to mess with finding the right ratio while you're driving, you just change the channel. I have one for wastegate pressure and one for around 1 bar, I don't use the other two for now.
It also fits perfectly in the a/c vent too.... ![]()

hey, eric...can you get a closer pic of your boost controller in that vent?
So, with the greddy Spec II, you can just dial in the psi you want? And with the MAft Pro, it comes with a boost controller? Thanks, T
