Take a red straw from a wd40 can and put either 5 minute epoxy or super glue on the end and let the end sit on the srcew for 15 minutes.

make sure its unscrewed all the way then take some duct or electrical tape put it on the screw and pull it out. I did that this morning when changing mine. Worked just fine.
