Question beck/arnley rings...good or bad?

Anybody know whether or not these are good rings? I have a buddy that works at o'reillys that can sell them to me for their cost. Regular $142 and he can sell them to me for $60. I just need to know whether or not they are worth putting in my engine or not.

I know they are a good deal but a lot of people haven't had good experience with rings sealing. Have you considered the OEM rings? I read a while back that the rings should be matched to the material the cylinder walss are made off. I don't know how much truth is in it but it would make sense to me.

Thank you for the information. I will probably go with rings from one of the 3S tuners then, or OEM if I can find a decent price.

Give Capital Mitsu a call for hte best OEM prices. Just tell the parts people you are with 3Si. 850-575-1212 I saw you have a bored out block. I know they offer bigger then standard pistons. .25 mm .50 mm .75 mm and 1.00 mm I don't know what .030 inches is in mm though.

I still do not have any experience with these rings. But we use OEM and mostly perfect circle rings at 3SX with great success. Rings won't make or break your build except for the most extreme crappyness situations like the no gap rings on a high boost application. Just make sure you have the tolerances all the same and double check that all of your rings (includeing the oil control rings) will be able to fall with in specs before you file them. Every once in a while I see a set of rings that must have been put in the wrong box or some thing.
