I've been looking at precat eliminators to connect to my downpipe and I know that DN Performance makes a set for ~$500. I found multiple sets on ebay for ~$125. Has anyone run these or have any info on their fitment/quality? Do they bolt to aftermarket downpipes without issues? Any info would be appreciated! Here is an example of the ones I'm talking about:

i have a set of the ebay ones bolted up to my motor but i haven't attached the downpipe yet. i had to do a little bit of shaving down due to fitment issues but it wasn't bad. i'll let u know what happens with installing the downpipe.

I put the rear one on but never actually used them...pulled it off and used a gutted cat instead.
Anyways, I was able to get it fairly easily. The only problem was clearance for the bolts.. the bolts wouldn't tighten down because they got caught on the welds. I ground down the welds and hammered the pipes a bit and that worked. |

Other than getting the bolts threaded and tightened, do they offer appropriate clearance, without contacting body parts or frame? Did you guys have any problem with leaks? Any pics of the installed parts by chance?

I can't help as I never installed them to the downpipe.
The easiest way to get the rear into position is to remove the driver side motor mount and to jack up the engine....not too far mind you. But you should get the clearance to drop the thing in. |
