alright, ill do it, but dont i need at least 40psi? im not sure exactly how much, and i was told it was "lack of pressure" to sum up what he said, so if I hotwire the walbro pump AFTER i verify i have proper pressure thus far, i should be good, correct? what happens if the stock FPR is bad? is there anyway to test that?

Was there an issues with it before you rebuilt the motor? Sounds like there's other issues. Make sure the maft is plugged in and all other connectors. Also make sure there's no pressure leaks in the system ( intercooler pipes, etc)

3sx wouldnt cover damages due to the pump not being theirs, but the pump was replaced only a few thousand miles prior to being sent in for service... and because we didnt want to spend the extra couple hundred redoing something that was already done, i have to suffer with paying out of pocket for the mistakeso after about 3 months of waiting on valves, got the heads taken into the shop, new valves, seals everything, cleaned block, installed everything, perfect, no leaks, went and got gas (about 5 miles total) brought the car back, let it cool down, retorqued everything sat around and BS'd for a little while, started it up, ran smooth, started perfect, no problems, going down the road, get about 5-6 miles out, and it backfired... turned out the crank sensor wiring got rubbed through by the acc. belt, after replacing, i gave up all hope, still nothing... for some reason fuel pump wasnt coming on now. So i swapped the ECU with a known good one, fuel pump comes on, and thats where im at now. Ive had multiple opinions saying low fuel pressure, but im not sure where im at, or why i have low pressure... i know the pump's on and i know theres fuel there, you can hear it going back to the tank, problem is, im unsure of exact PSI, and idk where to get the tool. second is if i hotwire the pump, i know i wont overrun the FPR because of the current mods, but will it cause a problem? if i have to ill re-change the fuel filter, i shouldnt have to, but... if i have to i will sorry for the long post |

i noticed something, if i gave full throttle occasionally upon cranking, it would seem to crank a little easier... i think i need to reset the S-AFC, but when the car was getting tuned, they messed with it, i never touched it
550 injectors 15g's walbro 255 i will be hotwiring the fuel pump as soon as i figure out the fuel problem, i just need a basic run down of S-AFC II programming for my setup |

oh yea, and when we were changing the fuel filter, the fuel line bent, so we had to replace from tank to fuel filter, got the line from the junkyard and replaced it (hard line under car) but the connection to the fuel filter line has a problem, and it leaks, slowly but might be enough to cause pressure loss...
im gonna check a few things, get some pictures, and hotwire the fuel pump, and ill post a video on my findings |

When the wire for the crank angle sensor wore thru, is that what caused the car to backfire and die? Did you put a new one in after that. When the crank angle angle sensor on my 95 went it sounded just like yours when I tried to start it. If you had low fuel pressure I would think your car would start but maybe have no power.

now time to figure out all the small boost leaks! thanks for all the help guys, and ill get videos on tonight of the car idling, running, and a few quick revs... as for the oil pickup tube, thats another thing we're gonna just go ahead and replace, we've had 2 people say "might as well, its pretty much a brand new motor" so we're gonna swap out the tube... again, thanks for all the input from everybody involved, love the 3s platform, and i appreciate the help |
