Default 3SX TD05 Kit Install/Progress

Figured I would do a write up as I go about installing this kit.

First off, got the kit, everything looks great, I did a quick mock up install of all the parts before coating and everything lined up right the first time.

I then had the manifolds Jet-hot coated with their extreme sterling coating 1700 degree stuff.

For a little added strength I custom made a bolt on brace for the rear, I am going to do something similar on the front manifold by modifying the factory turbo manifold stay bracket as well. A little added security never hurts!

Note: For the rear manifold, one of the studs needs to be shortened by about 1/2" to clear the manifold, pretty easy to do with a cut off wheel, be sure to leave a nut on the stud before you cut it so that when you remove it it will de-burr the threads.

More to come later- waiting on valve covers and some replacement lifters before I go any further.

I'm in the process of doing the same install. But I have run into a small road block with the coolant lines. Would you mind giving me a little insite as to what you you used and where you got the materials for you coolant lines?

if you could...step by step everything and as many pictures as you can..I am planning to do the same thing this summer...and I am not quite competent in this field yet..and my buddy who is...never worked on a 3S..so that's kinda challenging. I am sure this would help a lot of other people...We have one common purpose - to have faster 3s-s on the streets, to get respect for the platform.

go to napa and get oil 4 drain plugs with copper gaskets, threadlocker and your done! j sin

i did this install all alone and will be happy to answer any questions YOU ALL may have. just pm me and i will get back within 24 hours. there are a few things about the kit that could use explaining. make sure you fit it all together with nuts loose then re assemble, it will help you. my high pressure oil line to turbo bolt was the wrong thread and if i tightened it i would have had to redo entire project. they sent new banjo style bolt overnight. you also need exhaust bolts, egr block off plates (not included). i have pics as well but hate the hurdles you have to go thru to post. just email me. j sin
happy to help!

make sure you prime your turbos before you start them. i noticed your oil line installed allready. i would remove and add oil. it will take an hour but it will start to go into turbo and you can add more. do this 3 times before starting. i even took a tube(heater hose) and put one end around oil inlet and blew into hose to force oil into turbo. if you dont you could seize turbo upon start. j sin
