Default 3500 hesitation turns into really sluggish car. No power at all...still drives.

Hokey, So... I developed a hesitation and before I could diagnose it, I went up to about 5000 rpm after this hesitation.
As soon as this happen, it freaked out. It became super sluggish. As in, rev to 2000 to let the clutch out and after it was depressed, I started at 1000 rpm... bad.
Anyway. I didn't install anything new, i've just been driving to and from work. No biggies.
Has 150k+ miles, KnN and a spec 3 clutch... thats it. Has new plugs, wires. Never overheated. Does have, i think, 2 cylinders down. Maybe just one. I was never very good at telling...
Anyway, no power, boost gauge shows up to 14 psi on the stock gauge, drives like shit.

WHERE DO I START?
I was thinking maybe a boost leak? Knock sensor maybe? I'm somewhat keen on dsm's not on these...

does it rev up and down at idle? Mine did this and it was because it was low on coolant. The coolant flows through the throttle body, so it tries to compensate by running wierd when there is air. Just thought i would throw this in here.. maybe it will help.

First dont listen to the stock boost guage. Get an aftermarket guage. the stock one doesnt read real boost. Check for a vacuum leak. If you cant find anything get a compression test. That should tell alot.

I just got back from taco bell, i'm almost 87 percent sure its just one cylinder down, when i bought it a few weeks ago, it did show 0... bent valves.
Compression was 120-130 on the front bank, minus the middle cylinder, which was dead.
I'm not pushing any more boost than stock so a boost gauge is out unless its necessary.

Oh and since you mention the boost gauge.... I know all about the basics. I'm not by any means a newb. I've been into dsm's for years before the vr4. On the boards, daily.
I tried searching but i dont even know how to describe it in one or two words...

No, not low on coolant. Not revving up and down at idle. My idle is actually amazingly steady...

could be a bad ecu if your datalogger will not connect and you have bad hesitation. Pull it apart and look for damage.

Thats the second person to tell me that. I also wanna add that the car feels like its without the turbo's. I get no kick in when i hear them spool. I does accelerate a little better but i'm thinking its because its getting up in the rpms so naturally.
I just got another dsm, i can't get my datalogger to connect to that one either so... I dont think its my logger or the cars, i'm thinking its the cable.
Thanks for the input.
