I had a STOCK short block when I ran 9.73@151mph on stage 2, .48 DBB DR-1000's

The same turbos in NON-BB on Leonel's car made 812 whp.

DR-1000 Dyno 812 hp

What I would recommend for a street 3.5L car would be a Stage 3, .63 A/R DBB DR-1000. Or if you really want to go fast a DBB DR-1200 I ran 9.0's on a set-up like that and the car made as much TQ as it did HP.

I do sell GT-3076 (or GT-3082) kits, but I really am not a big fan of the GT series turbines when spooling then with 1.5-1.75L (1/2 of a 3.0-3.5L)thy frankly were never really designed for that small of displacement. The GT-3076's spool slower then DR-1200's, but can make less power. I would rather go with the faster spooling more powerful turbo.

Ok Matt, question for you then is would you go DR-1000 or 1200? Maybe 1300 ?
Would you recommend the .48 or the .63 a/r housing for a street car?
I don't mind waiting until 4500-5K for a good amount of boost. Hoping to get close to the spool time of my current setup.

Thanks

Mike

I would have suggested the DR kits, but i thought one of your concerns was not having to ditch the td05 setup u already have.

LOL thanks Tri for pointing out the obvious!

Yeah I would like to keep my setup. It just makes since. Also don't want to waste a 3.5L either . Just getting ideas.

i think even on your current setup, the 3sx GT-3076RL would be able to make a lot of power, maybe even enough that u won't want the 3.5L.

ps- ur welcome .

pps- I got a forged crank on the way

If it were my car I would most likly go with stage 3, .63 A/R, DBB DR-1200's on a 3.5l street car. You would have huge power and still spool prity fast. If I were looking to spend a little less money and have a little faster spool I would go with the DBB DR-1000's stage 3 , .63 a/r. A stage 3, .63a/r , DBB DR-1000 car would still have max power approaching 900 at the wheels and on a 3.5l spool very fast.
