Thumbs up 2bolt to 4bolt swap

So i recently purchased a 92 VR4 with a "spun rod"
Took the motor out and saw a big hole.
Spun rod my a**.
I just purchased a 4bolt block and crank
Was wondering if anybody has done this swap that is on stealth316.
If so how did it go?
And what do you think?

I have done it and as long as you get the correct parts for the 4 bolt block it bolts right up. I am glad I did it.

Also interested in this as I may be buying a 1st Gen with a blown motor. Might even do a 6-Speed conversion right away since I've got a spare in my shed... assuming a buy it at all.

question
Did you follow the guide on stealth316 exactly
Because it says that the timing mark on the crank has to be exactly one tooth off so im a little worried?

Yes, I did. The TDC timing mark on the 4 bolt lower cover is off by 1 tooth compared to the 2 bolt cover. The first time, I set up the timing with the lower 4 bolt cover and harmonic damper in place. Once I had all the timing set,I remarked the crank gear tooth so future timing could be set up without the cover.
