Default 16gs at the track

Well this Saturday i visited the Drag strip lebanon.... this was my first visit since my new tune at 17psi witch i tuned my self... I ended up making four passes in about 7 hours because the track was packed..... my first run 14.7 at 95 ET witch for some reason i spun all four tires 1st gear and half way thru second by third gear i felt my car start to sputter and misfire so i let off..i was confused at what was going on naturally i thought it was spark plug blow out so i gave it a second run about 1 hour and half later and i couldn't build any boost..WTF so i got back in line popped my hood didn't see anything unusual...So i give it one more try same thing... at this point i was so pissed as i spent $100 to get their and this never happens to daily driving... i pulled off the rack and went down a local road to find that my car still wasn't building any boost.. i popped my hood to find i had blown off a turbo pipe.. it sat so close together that you could barely tell it was off.. i pushed the pipe in and tighten it down as best as i could and raced back for one more run... my last run i didn't want to drop the clutch scared that i might spine tire again so i road it out and made down the track pretty clean finsihing off the day with 12.7 at 112..... very long day and i wish i had another chance to run i think i could have done better...

You need to get a good tune. Your et can be brushed off because of a possible bad driver mod, but the traps speak for themselves. Some people run 112 at bpu. No reason at all you shouldn't be 11.x at 120+.

If you aren't familiar with tuning boosted cars a conservative tune is a great way to go. If you want power and arent real good at tuning most people either blow up their car or get it tuned at a shop. Look at some threads of other 16g cars, some of them run 10's. Big difference between tuned and not tuned. Best thing is to keep the safe tune you have until you can get to a shop, then get a pump gas and a race gas tune.

i don't think those numbers are bad at 17psi on pump gas... mind you i have a complete stock 92 motor with 100,000 miles on it... I don't have ported heads or cams... anybody running 10.x has got heads cams and runing no less then 30 psi....

P.s thanks for the feed back
