I'm considering interviewing for a job in Eugene. Does the state of Oregon, or the city of Eugene (or county it's in) do any imissions testing? Just curious, cuz if not that would definately be another plus (and there's lots others) to living there...

Eugene does not do emissions tests unless you are having a vehicle inspected and registered from out of state. I'm from Roseburg and never had any emissions tests with my vehicles. Portland/Salem and Medford have really high smog rates so they do have emissions testing in those areas.

There's positives to living in Eugene? Ick...can't stand Eugene. Bunch of hippies/druggies/strange people. But...good luck on your interview!
Ya I already interviewed for the job, didn't get an immediate job offer, then got a job in San Jose by the time they finally came thru with an offer, and decided not to take it since I'd already kinda settled here by then (and it was lots less money).
And hippies don't bug me, I thought of that as one of the positives actually
