Exclamation I give up willing to PAY someone to help me!!!

Ok here is the deal...

I just bought a beautiful new VR-4 from GreyGoose on the boards and its giving me a little bit of a headache. I am having trouble with the airflow sensors and possibly my S-AFC wiring. I have been troubleshooting this for a about 2 weeks now in my spare time (not much) and have made progress but not found a cure. In order to get my car registered and "street legal" in time, I have to fix this problem ASAP.

I AM WILLING TO PAY ANYONE WITH AMPLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THESE CARS TO COME AND HELP ME WITH MY CAR.

My symptoms are that I have a CEL that my datalogger says was an airflow sensor problem. I swapped my stock MAS out for a MAF-T which should replace the airlfow sensor with a new one correct? Well anyway, the CEL is still on (I have not reset it) but now the car is still acting funny and its smoking now at idle like it is running VERY rich. I believe it has something to do with my SAFC, but i am absolutely hopeless with those things as of now.

Symptoms:
S-AFC is getting NO power to it
Car is smoking at idle (havent run it on the street)
REV's are lower than normal
CEL light for airflow sensor.
Stock boost gauge stopped working but my turbo timer still says it boost and i ca hear the turbos.
As far as how much I dont know what I should offer so give me a call and we can discuss that if youd like.

I have the feeling that this is going to be a simple fix as the car was running amazingly well when i bought it and i have not abused it in any way. I would continue to figure this out on my own, but like i said i am runnig out of time and happen to have some cash so I figured that I will see if one of you guys could help me out, I really need this and would make it worth your while.

If you know these cars and have some spare time, please give me a call ANYTIME day or night at 404-643-8210 and I will tell you everything that I know about the problem.

Thanks as always
-Toby

AND I REALLY NEED SOME HELP ON THIS ONE!!!!

You can fix this on your own. You are getting the CEL because the car is not seeing a signal from the air flow sensor (be it the stock sensor or the replacement air metering system). The reason you are not getting a signal is because the SAFC does not have power. So, trace the power wire on the SAFC to it's source and make sure it has a good connection (it probably won't). As soon as you get the power wire to make a good connection the car should return to normal.

My car does the same thing when the SAFC loses power. I need to solder those connections in down there, but I still haven't gotten around to it.

I'm way South of you in Newnan right now, so it's a bit of a drive for me to come and look at it, but there are a lot of GA 3/S up around you. Someone up there should be able to help you out. And if not, let me know, and we can work something out.

Good luck with it!

I'm going to solder my connections soon, Trav. We could make a day of it.

(6 more days).
