Hey everyone,
I should have started this thread a few weeks ago, but I love to procastinate just like the next guy.
We are less than two weeks away from the National Gathering but I want to get some information out there about the car show portion of the NG. This year the categories will look slightly different. They will be:
Best 1st Gen (91-93) Stock to Mild
Best 2&3 Gen (94-99) Stock to Mild
Best 1st Gen (91-93) Modded
Best 2&3 Gen (94-99) Modded
Best Custom Exterior / Paint
Best Engine Compartment
Best Custom Interior
Best Stereo
Cleanest Car Overall (91-99)
Best of Show
Hooters Choice (they will buy this trophy)
People's Choice (also purchased by Hooters)
There will be a first, second, and third place trophy for each category except for Best in Show, and the two Hooter's trophies. This year we will also have participant voting. That means that you guys will be deciding the winners.
Any 3/S wishing to compete for
Best Stereo will be in a special section. You'll need to be in this section to be judged for best Stereo. And certain time intervals these cars will be allow to demonstrate there stereos. This will make it much easier for judging. But only one stereo will be blasting at a time, and we certainly won't have the music playing for the entire show. Should make for a fun stereo shootout.
Also new this year will be the way the 3/Ses are organized. I know some of you will be coming to the car show, but you're not really looking to be judged. Well, we'll have a section for cars that are not being judged. It doesn't mean we don't want you to display your car, it just means people won't be voting for your car. This will help people tremendously when they walk around with there voting slips. The car show organizers will ask you when you come in if you want to be judged or not. Remember, the car show is for fun, so don't feel intimidated either way on whether you want to be judged or not.
Your
car show sign is very important. You will be given a blank one in your sign up kit when you arrive at the National Gathering. But, I also have a word doc version on my website that people can download. Also on my website is a filled out version that I'll be using for my Stealth. So take a look at both of them. Feel free to fill out the car sign ahead of time, print it out, and bring it to the show. Thats one less thing you'll have to do when you get down there.

If you have any questions, please ask. I'm really excited to be helping with organizing the NG car show. I know its going to be a lot of fun!!
