Anyone who was at NG08 - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

If you had the pleasure of meeting my dad at NG08, you know he's a pretty terrific guy... Who is going through a living hell. My dad lost his job (company moved to Mexico) just a few weeks ago... And on Friday he went to bring his wife breakfast in bed and found her deceased. They had had separate rooms for over a year due to a back surgery. This passing was completely unexpected and the cause of death is still unknown. Needless to say, we're totally devastated. I just thought the people who met him and enjoyed his company at NG08 should know. He was the guy driving the little cream-colored Boxster S.

Edit: A couple more details... 57 years old, one daughter, considered me her other... She was a nurse, and a damn good one. She was one of the kindest, most loving people I've ever known. She saw the good in everyone, even when they didn't deserve it, and forgave anyone for anything. The autopsy was inconclusive pending the toxicology report, which can take up to 12 weeks to get back. How's that for no closure? Dad is hanging in there, but still having a tough time with it. He's a survivor, who truly believes that when it's your time, that's it - it's your time. I think that helps a little, but some explanations would be nice. The visitation and funeral service are today (Monday, Labor Day) only, then she'll be cremated.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, your dad and entire family.
We enjoyed meeting your dad. He is a very nice man and we are sorry for his loss.

Oh, Lori. I'm so sorry. It comes in truckloads, doesn't it? I'll keep him and you guys in my thoughts and hope that life begins to turn around for him soon.

Sorry to here that this has happened. I spent a good amount of time talking with him at the driving school and he seemed like a really nice, laid back guy.

It just seams that some times life is out to screw over the nice people.

My best wishes goes out to him and your whole family.

Thanks for all the prayers, but please.... Pray for dad. He's the one who's having the toughest time with all of this. Jenna and I were extremely close - like mother and daughter - but it was his wife. He still can't get the image of her laying there out of his head. It's especially difficult because it was so unexpected and because she had been gone for almost 12 hours when he found her in their home - not a sight you ever want to experience...

Needless to say, there will be no NG09 updates or anything like that for a little longer... Dad needs all my spare time to help get everything in order.
