the anchorage mits parts guy called me yesterday and wanted to know if i was willing to sell one of the 3 blocks i have sitting around. these would be the engines that all detonated # 6 within 1k miles after the dealer installed them.
i said no. i wasnt in the mood to help a dealer that wont even fix my tc. i should be insulted that they want the engines back, they never offered to rebuild mine, i had to replace it. it was the parts guy that called and hes the only cool person working there so i wasnt mad at him.
so who really needs the engine?

4 bolt mains, rights? I wouldn't mind relieving you of one of those engines. My only worry is that detonation might have occured in other cyls as well, although probably to a lesser degree. So I'd probably want to inspect a few things, I'd hate to throw a new piston into #6 and find out later #4 had a cracked ring land. Dibs on one of those blocks Jason!! Take care.

i got in trouble for mentioning i had parts on ebay in the general section. i love this forum and dont want to break the rules. im not triing to unload any blocks, i really just was wondering if it was anyone we know that needed it.
do you have the internals, or just the bare blocks? I'm just wondering, in case when i do all those seals and the piston rings, that i might find something else bad inside.
