Wasn't someone from AK trying to get a recall tcase?
I remember a month or so I ran across a thread (in one of the general areas, not AK) about someone in Anchorage who had their car at the dealer for a transfer case recall or something like that. I was curious if they ever got it taken care of, but can't find the thread, even tho I know I posted in it, and I've done every kinda search out there. Did I dream this?

Re: Wasn't someone from AK trying to get a recall tcase?
if im running enough aftermarket parts to get me around 450awhp, will they still replace my t-case if i break it or should i just go ahead and get the billet one from ips? im on the 18-spline too... should i get a new driveshaft too?
Re: Wasn't someone from AK trying to get a recall tcase?
from what i understand the transfer case is a safety recall so regardless, if it breaks they have to replace it. but if you're going for performance, why not get the brace and be done with it anyway...it's cheap compared to the hassle you'd have to go through to get the recall done, even more so if you have to argue with aftermarket parts...
Re: Wasn't someone from AK trying to get a recall tcase?
it was me. i deleted the thread. i wanted to know peoples ideas about the letter i wrote to mits. i posted a copy that i didnt use caps on. i forgot to draft a copy before sending the completed version.
everyone was more concerned with if i used caps or not, so i deleted it.
the results are: i wish that the higher ups at mits all have catastophic auto failures from defective parts. then nobody does shit for them!

Re: Wasn't someone from AK trying to get a recall tcase?
if it was my thread they didn't replace my T-Case but they finally did re-seal it after about a 2 and a half week process. Dodge probably won't give you a new T-case unless you fight hard for it, since they don't stock them anymore... they'd have to get it from mitsu. the BS they used with me was "it has to be a mopar part" but its the same damn thing! lol.
Jason's 3000gt t-case broke last summer I think and he replaced it.. never got reimbursed for it
