Nitto Invo or Michelin PS A/S Plus?
I bought a set of staggered 10.5/8.5 19s and I'm looking for the best reasonably priced matched set of 285/30/19 and 245/35/19.
I have it narrowed down to the Michelin Pilot sport A/S plus or Nitto Invo. Both are in my budget but the Invos are about $300 cheaper for the set of 4.
As far as climate, I live in Las Vegas. There's maybe 6 days a year it snows but snow we actually do get below freezing on/off for a couple of months, and there's only occasional light rain, but otherwise it's just friggin blazing hot, dry, and horribly dusty here.
I will be running -1.5 to -2 degrees of camber on the rears
The Michelins are attractive because of the double treadwear rating compared to the Nittos, but I probably wont use their all season capability. Tire grip and quiet comfortable ride seem to go to the Nittos from looking at the basic specs.
So I am wondering which tires are going to be better suited for my situation?
Its funny I went into the store and the clerk told me to stay away from Michelins because the desert heat dry rots them out quicker than other brands. WTF. great sales pitch.
Anyway, I had priced the set of 4 Nittos (with free replacement certs) online vs discount tire in store and came up with about a $300 difference!! I am confused as it seems like you/they are both the same company but with a different pricing schedule. Their price includes installation but there's no way it costs $300 to mount/balance tires. Your site says it is $20 per tire with lifetime balancing if I get the tires shipped to a preferred location.
So am I better off ordering through DTD and shipping directly to the "discount tire" retail location for mount/balancing? Or can I just walk into the retail location and have them price-match your online quote?
