Interesting ... they're a sponsor on the local evo club forums, but I had no idea they've done any work at all on the 3S platform. Been there a few times.

They arent known for it... well lets be honest evos greatly out number our cars.
But for the experience, quality and very affordable rates they are number one to me.
Greg no longer works at DTM, and based on my last year of evo experience with them, I'd advise not dealing with them. It involved having my car in their shop nearly 9 months, driven for 2-3 weeks, and a total cost of over $7k ... yet still produces the same amount of power it did when it went in. And the car is still undriveable. I was not the only one screwed by them, a number of friends have been too. Long stor(ies), but the highlight is avoid them at all costs.
Moore Automotive in Fairfax, VA is a VERY cool place. They have a load-bearing AWD dyno (I dyno'd my VR4 there last month), and even better, one of the owners/techs owns a nice black 97? VR4. Oh, and it's in pieces on a lift. For a fully built motor, full suspension ... and twin GT35Rs. He's expecting around 800 horsepower out of it (not sure if that was wheel or flywheel). Super nice guy, I talked to him for quite some time. They also cater to modded cars of course, they had a BMW 2002 there, an NSX, a Galant VR4, and some other cool stuff.
EDIT: I've dealt with Terry's back when I had a CF hood put on my Eclipse GSX and a couple other things. Friendly guy, very easy to deal with and very polite. I'd recommend him too.

Is the porting a waste of money or the SOHC? If it's the fact it's a SOHC, then I already know ..... "Screw SOHC, Do a TT swap." Heard it multiple times. I just want to get a bit more power out of the SOHC, while I have it. When I have much more money to play with, then I will go TT. Right now I'm just a guy that wants a little more kick out of what I got.
If its the porting of the Plenum, then please enlighten me as to why its a waste. I thought it provided better air flow and throttle response, due to the larger opening. I've read (here on 3SI) that this was one of the few modes that could be done to the sohc. Although I haven't seen any numbers to show HP gains. It seemed that other owners felt a difference. Am I wrong to believe this?

no way you are going to feel a difference, only on a boosted car starving for more air. besides that everything needs increased flow to compensate, from a larger intake to ported TB to ported plenum to ported manifold to ported heads. there are really no INEXPENSIVE mods that will really give you a difference you can feel on a sohc. For most people its like the placebo effect, they are just excited and want to believe it made a difference so they say it does.

I have a mechanic in Springfield,VA. that works on my TT. He has done a marvelous job on my car so far and I am very pleased with his workmanship.
His incredible knowledge of cars in general is impressive. I always go to him with any questions and which route to take my vehicle.
I chose to go with moderation and just did a few upgrades on my motor. Cold air intake, Open exhauast to name a couple and love my 3000GT TT even more.
He is a private mechanic and works on SUPRAs also as he owns one.
If you would like a contact number let me know by PM. He charges $50~$70 depending on the job.
